Commitment to Equity

I am committed to centering equity in all of my work, including ensuring that the people who are most directly impacted by policies are included in decisionmaking.

From 2022-2024, I was honored to serve as a policy expert on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Equity Commission.

In this role, I educated fellow members on systemic barriers to access to nutrition programs for communities of color and developed actionable recommendations that were unanimously included in our report.

This is my original gray cat, Becca-cat. She was mine from when I was 14 to my early 30s.

Today I have two cats, one gray and one tuxedo.  If you work with me, you'll probably see them on a zoom call.
